If your model’s hex hubs don’t snap onto the axle’s crosspins, they’ll slide off as you work on your car and the crosspins will fall out. You could thread the axle nuts down to the hex hubs to keep them in place, but that’s a hassle. Instead, just slip a piece of fuel tubing over the axle to hold the hex hub.
